At Last, restrictions have been lifted and we can resume ‘business as usual’ at The Yoga Barn, ……or will we?
Well, as you may know, we have been busy here and have built a new studio and increased our accommodation and bathroom facilities, which gives us a lot more space to work with. This means that we can give more separation between your mats in the studio to make you more comfortable. We have built a stone wall around the garden which provides us with a beautiful sheltered outdoor practice area when the weather is kind enough to allow us outside for yoga. We have added an ensuite bathroom to the twin-bedded room in the Cottage and converted the old studio into The Lodge, providing accommodation for four in two studio bedrooms and another single bed in the loft area. You can book accommodation as an individual or a couple, or maybe as a group as we can now accommodate up to 10 people, Outside we have the gardens and the labyrinth to walk, with the fire pit for howling at the moon during the solstice, plus we have now added a Sauna and Hot tub, so an enhanced, improved Yoga Barn offering far more than ‘business as usual.
Classes – In-person classes have resumed, although we will also continue to offer Zoom connection to these classes, as well, for the foreseeable future. Days and times and joining instructions are detailed on our website at http://theyogabarn.org/?page_id=16
Retreats – A full program of Day Retreats, with accommodation before and/or after if required, is available for booking through our website http://theyogabarn.org/?page_id=19 and a number of Weekend Retreats will run throughout the year, some run by visiting Teachers and some by Hilary from The Yoga Barn. Look for the first one, in March, run by Michelle from Simply Yoga in Carlow. Details from Michelle at Buk.ie/syi Hilary and Emer are planning a Juice Retreat in July, details of which will be up soon.
Thank you all for your continuing support through these very challenging times, it means a lot to us and we will never take this for granted.
Wishing you the very best for this New Year and we hope to see you again soon.
The Yoga Barn Retreat is located at the Ballymagill Ark which is a restored ‘clochán’ or Irish stone village. Situated in an almost secret location at the end of a tree-lined boreen in the beautiful rolling hills of South Kilkenny. Surrounded by green fields and nature with clean clear air and big skies the Yoga Barn breathes peace, calm, and tranquility. Set in these fine rural surroundings, but close to the M9 Motorway, Kilkenny, Waterford, New Ross, and the beautiful town of Inistioge,The Yoga Barn is a special place, hosting classes, workshops, and retreats. The new purpose built studio, is light and airy, with high ceilings, kept cosy and warm by a wood-burning stove and underfloor heating supplied by a ground sourced heat pump. We look forward to welcoming you.
